31134Last December I had an itch that seriously needed to be scratched. I was bored with my hair. I needed a change. I wanted a change so badly that I even went so far as posting a photo shopped pic of me with a bob styled cut of my hair at my chin, asking for your opinions: should I chop or not? To my amazement, there were over 1K comments - all right down the middle with some saying, “Go for it” while others said, “No! Don’t do it!” My decision? I opted for Curtain Bangs! They were the safest option for change without doing something drastic. 😁 It took me a while to figure out how to style them, but I had it down fairly well in time for my trip to Italy for the VicenzaOro jewelry show in January. My first stop, always, is one particular designer from Milano, who happens to be ultra debonaire. He’s got his own classic, cool sense of style that I really appreciate. After doing the customary Italian greeting of the cheek to cheek kiss, he stood back and said, “Something’s different. It’s your hair!” I wasn’t sure if the “something” was bad for him or good for him, so with some hesitation I said, “Yes, it’s my new Curtain Bangs! My daughter suggested them!” And then he asked, “And do you regret that decision?!” L to the O to the L!!!!! 😂😂😂 I said, “No. Should I regret the decision? You hate them!” And he said, “Its true. I don’t like it. I love your hair the other way much better.” I just laughed, and told him, “Well, I like them, ” (Silently saying in my head, “So there!!”) The truth is I did like them. And for four months, now, the itch for change was scratched. But …….. now, I have a new itch: I’m bored of the bangs. I’m growing them back out! 😂 But let the record show that I most DEFINITELY did NOT regret my 1st OR 2nd decision! LOL Moral of the story? Do it for you, own it, love it, change it, keep it - whatever! It’s just hair. Hair grows back! And, in most cases, it’s all about the itch!😂 Can you relate?
