44463I don’t know why they call it “feeling blue” when feeling sad. Blue, for me, feels calming, serene and timeless. Swipe through these pics, and discover one of my obvious home “themes.” When we lived in Boulder, Colorado for 25 years the deer was the object of my affection (pillows, desert plates, candle holders 😂). I hear birds all day, every day in Arizona I LOVE them! And they’re everywhere in our house! Slide 2: Half of the pieces in our home are old and refinished. I love the lived-in look and feel of them. My friend, Dawn, @curatedtouch in Scottsdale (a MUST for beautiful home furnishings) helped me pick the gorgeous botanical prints out. 💙 Slide 3: Our son, whose name is Jonah (which means “peaceful like a dove”) survived a horrible, tremendous fall. I found this dove painting online while sitting with him at the hospital. It will ALWAYS be my favorite. It’s a reminder to me of God’s mercy in saving our son and the inexplicable peace that He gave me during that time. 🙏 @kobyfeldmos is a wonderful Israeli artist. Zoom in to see the detail! Slide 4: @templestclair gifted this beautiful book to me when I was a contributing jewelry editor for @elitetraveler magazine’s website. Her jewelry is thoughtful, inspiring and incredibly crafted by Florentine artisans. Slide 5: I think I was a DIYer before that was an acronym! I was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years before my life as a model and jewelry person. I sewed curtains, re-upholstered furniture, painted walls, re-finished wood tables (the table in my favorite blue corner) and made 20 French berets for our son’s 1st grade class for Nation’s day years ago ….. but then I had enough! So I paid someone to make this for me!😂 I think the box is from @crateandbarrel and the tile for sure is from @flooranddecor The last two slides are treasures from Venice, Italy. Next week I’ll show you the rest of my Murano glass bird collection. 😃 Happy Blue Monday!
