Milena went on to travel the world as an international model for decades. In 2020, she re-launched her modelling career in the UK as one of the first silver-haired models, helping to pioneer a more authentic and inclusive vision of beauty, one that moves beyond the narrow societal standards we’ve long been conditioned to accept.Milena is not only a passionate advocate for positive ageism, but also for positive individualism.Today, her mission is to inspire and empower women to redefine beauty at any age, celebrating the uniqueness of both their internal and external selves.

15222Life isn’t always fair and can place some pretty big hurdles on our course, but how we jump over each one of those hurdles is more important than what place we finish at in the race. The true victory is found in our ability to get back up and find the strength to continue. I’ve met people who’ve experienced profound trauma who still choose to love when they could have easily chosen the path of bitterness. The problem is when hurt people hurt other people. Loving instead of hating is always a choice. Sadly there will always be hurt people who lack healing who continue to hurt others. So how do we handle hurt in the aftermath? Do we let it destroy us? Do we allow it to tarnish how we see others? Healing is not linear. Our greatness lies in our capacity to be able to trust in humanity again even though we have been hurt. The capacity to be able to open our hearts again to the possibility of love and to realise that our very own personal experience of pain is not a reflection of all people and all situations. This realisation or lack of it will be our guide to the path of love or bitterness. Forgiving is also a choice. If we are unable to forgive then moving on becomes impossible and the pain becomes our story and we remain broken. The burden of pain and unforgiveness if left to fester can turn into physical illness at some point. It’s just not worth holding on to the pain. Stop fighting battles you were never meant to fight. Stop dwelling in sorrow that you were never meant to consume. Surrender what is out of your control to God who will fight your battles for you and wipe away your tears. There will be His divine justice for those who have suffered a lack of worldly justice and this isn’t pie in the sky talk. Your genuine forgiveness is your weapon and it will chip away and finally break the trauma bond that has held you captive and in bondage for so long. I hope this speaks to someone. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Jesus will completely mend your heart and peace will dwell where anguish once was.
